Item 6: Make a summer book list

The first item I want to (sort of) tick of the bucket list is my summer reading! I'm going to be straight up, I won't be picking much deep stuff, I just want to have fun with my reading this summer. I usually read a lot of non-fiction so I've been craving some nostalgic fictional stories.

1. Circle Of Magic 2: Tris' Book by Tamora Pierce
Sometime about two years ago I got really into Circle of Magic after I finished the first book. I hadn't the chance to continue the series until now. I'm really excited to finish the whole thing and maybe read more of Tamora Pierce's work.

2. Rumble Fish by S.E. Hinton
I finished The Outsiders and That Was Then, This Is Now earlier this spring and I loved both so I'm going to read everything S.E. Hinton has written now I think.

3. The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares
I liked the movie so I think I'm probably gonna enjoy the books too. Plus it's like the only book actually set in the summer. I just want that 2000s shit right now.

4. Whip It/ Derby Girl by Shauna Cross
I heard the book isn't really good but it's one of my fave movies of all time so I want to give it a chance.

5. Notes To Boys by Pamela Ribon
I'm not sure how crazy I will be about this one (ew boys!! joking) but I really like Pamela Ribon so I wanna see how her fiction stuff goes.

6. The Tail of Emily Windsnap (Re-read) by Liz Kessler
I'm crazy about mermaids and I loved this book as a kid. I don't remember how far I got in the series so I think I'll re-read it this summer and try to get as far as I can into the books. I guess this one's kind of summer-themed.

7. Jedi Quest: Path to Truth by Jude Watson
I'm a huge Star Wars fan (pre-Disney, but I will allow Andor a pass) and I always wanted to read these books but I could never find them when I was a kid. Well Im a grown ass adult so it's time to finally get through these middle grade books.

8. Masters of Atlantis by Charles Portis
I really liked Norwood, Portis is a funny guy. This one called out to me strongest from his bibliography.

If the reading goes well I may add some more books but so far this is it. They're all pretty short so I think I'll be able to actually read them this summer instead of starting and then forgetting about them for months.

I still don't know what to do with this blog! Isn't it silly? Making a blog before actually having an idea for it. Regardless, I'm keeping it dormant for now because it's not very good for media reviews which I'll do on my blogger instead.

Hey! Welcome to my journal. I'm not sure about what I'm doing with the space yet but hopefully it will be something fun. I'm feeling really artsy today, so I'm probably going to channel that into my website. See you later!
